Things to Do on Your Pontoon
There’s nothing like your very own pontoon to help you enjoy a beautiful day on the waterfront of your choice, but sometimes just cruising around isn’t enough. Lucky for you, your pontoon has a lot of untapped potential on the entertainment front. We here at LMC Marine Center want to help you make the most of your time on the water, so we’ve put together a few ideas for things to do on your pontoon, below. To learn more, or to see the pontoons we have for sale, contact our store in Houston, Texas, today!
Fishing
This is probably a go-to when you’re looking for a way to relax on your own or even with some company. Fishing is easy and fun on a pontoon thanks to their spacious designs, multiple amenities focused specifically on comfort, and plenty of storage room. Fish off any side you like with family or friends, bring along a few coolers for drinks and snacks, and bring all the fishing gear you want—there’s space for it!
Entertaining
If you’re looking for a way to host friends, family, or coworkers but your home doesn’t fit the bill at the moment, consider using your pontoon! With these boats’ ample legroom and plethora of seating options, you don’t have to pick and choose who you bring and who you don’t, making them perfect for maritime parties! Drop anchor in a calm spot on a clear day and break out the food—marine grills can help you serve it up fresh, or you could have a potluck. Afterwards there’s plenty of comfortable spots to relax, chat, and play board games if you like.
Picnics
As nice as a giant gather can be, sometimes you just need a quiet meal with loved ones. With a pontoon, you have the perfect venue for a picnic on the lake that’s actually on the lake! Bring along a playlist or two, some speakers, and a basket of delicious food, and just unwind!
A marine grill can still play an important role here, too, allowing you to cook on the spot or just roast some delicious s’mores for a nice dessert. You could even do a DIY taco or sandwich bar if you’re bringing the family.
Movie Nights
Boating at night can be a thrilling and beautiful experience, and with a pontoon’s relatively open floorplan you have plenty of options for nighttime activities. Set up a sheet with a projector or bring a laptop and some DVDs and you’ve got your very own theater on the water. Just make sure to pack the popcorn and oversized sodas!
We hope these ideas help you enjoy your time on your pontoon a little more. For more information, or if you’re looking for a pontoon to try these with, contact us at LMC Marine Center. We proudly serve the people of Houston and Conroe, Texas—let us serve you today!
